The mission of the Institute is to create tools and information that can be used to educate the paper-based communications industry and external constituencies on environmental matters.

USPS Green Paper

The Postal Service has a long history of environmental stewardship. We are pioneers in using alternative fuel-capable vehicles. We support recycling programs and we offer eco-friendly products and services. We're working with customers to reduce mail that's undeliverable, and we’re working with other delivery companies to move mail and packages on shared transportation, saving on energy costs and consumption. NAPM - Two Sides To Paper

The National Association of Paper Merchants (NAPM) has launched ‘Two Sides’, an industry-wide initiative to address negative and often misinformed environmental criticism of the paper industry, to educate the paper-buying public of the true facts so they can make informed choices, while at the same time, promote responsible paper use. The key focus is to encourage people to question and challenge their existing wisdom about paper, to counteract the impact of the current environmental lobby against the paper industry, and arrest the guilt surrounding the use of paper.
